At this time, the Head Tater and Reesa would like to wish all our walking friends and family a very Merry Christmas! This picture was taken on our recent Hawaii trip (luau).  What a great adventure!  It has been another great year for Tater Tours!  It always amazes me the dedication that all the TOTS have for my trips.  I appreciate the continued support of my tours!  Retirement was "slightly" thought of but it seems to me, while I plan on slowing down with the number of trips, the TOTS wanted me to continue.  With all but one trip completely "Sold Out" for 2020, why would I not want to continue?  So from the bottom of my heart, "Thank You ALL"!!

So here's hoping that 2020 is a prosperous year for all and that the great sport of Volksmarching continues on in all of our lives!

Update for 2020 Tater Tours


Getting excited on the plans for 2020 with 4 trips by the Head Tater with 2 of the trips already displayed on the blogspot!  Again, I do not want to discourage people for signing up for trips that are "Sold Out".  Things happen and people have to cancel …..


1.  It was very exciting to hear that San Antonio was able to secure their IML status.  So with that in mind, the trip is now "Sold Out" but with a very short waiting list


2.  The Nevada, Utah & Arizona trip is also "Sold Out" with a long waiting list.  Will the Head Tater do for 2021?  Stay-tuned ……


3.  Awaiting for information on the Northwest Conference Committee to go forward on the brochure for June 2020. Very excited to go forward with the planning of this trip.  I only have 8 seats left!


4.  Mid-America in September of 2020 will be very exciting too.  With this trip being the last one for 2020, it will probably be at least August before a brochure is available.  Unfortunately, the trip is filled with a waiting list.


So hear it is, the "Latest & Greatest" for Tater Tours!  Hope to see lots of walkers at the AVA Convention that is just around the corner.

TATER TOURS UPDATE

 Tater Tours Update:

Head Tater on the Great Lakes Tour!

So far, 2018 has been a great year for Tater Tours!  We have completed 2 trips thus far, the Canadian Walking Convention in Halifax, Nova Scotia and the 5 Great Lakes Tour.  Lots of memories were made!  I have 2 remaining trips, the California Coastal Adventure and More in September and also my North/South Carolina & Georgia trip in October.  Waiting lists for both trips are still in place. 

Now to update everyone on my four 2019 trips:

1. Phoenix Festival & More on Vancouver Island, B.C. in May:  Dates are tentatively set for April 30th - May 12th.  Work is progressing well with the itinerary and this is what I have so far:  Fly into and out of Seattle, Washington, take the ferry ride over to Vancouver Island, via Anacortes, Washington.  Tour Butchart Gardens and then participate in the Walking Weekend with our fellow Canadian & American friends!  After the walking weekend, we will stay on the Island and participate in several walks (permanent trails) for the remainder of the week before we return to Anacortes on the ferry and finally Seattle.  As of this article, I only have 8 seats remaining. 

2. AVA Convention in June (pre and post activities)  Tater Tours will be attending the walks prior to and after the fantastic Convention that is still being finalized.  Will be working on this trip as more information is being released.  Unfortunately this trip is already "Sold Out" with a long waiting list.

3. New York City & More in October:  Tentative dates are from October 10th -17th.  Return to the Big Apple and participate in the 4 year round events besides lots of sightseeing, to include Circle Line Ferry Tour around the City, breathtaking views of the NYC skyline and of the Statue of Liberty! Also included will be a Broadway Show and a tour of the USS Intrepid!  We will possibly doing two year round events on Long Island!  Short waiting list started.

4. Hawaii to include Maui and still the Big Island in November: Tentative dates are November 6th - 16th. Returning to the Hawaiian Islands with a repeat of my 2015 trip with a few changes.  Email me for 2015 brochure, tweaking the trip with I am sure an increase of price.  Long waiting list started.

Tater Tours is slowing down, possibly getting ready for retirement!  As of now, no trips are planned for 2020 but that could easily change.  In other words, a lot of "Soul Searching" is happening!

So there you have it!  The latest and greatest with Tater Tours!
