Tater Tours for 2022

 TATER TOURS UPDATE

June 8, 2021

Fellow volksmarchers,

Since March 2020, the Pandemic has disrupted our lives, including Tater Tours!  We are now starting to see the "light at the end of the tunnel."  Tater Tours startup is with the AVA Convention from June 19th - July 4th.  It will be so good to be "On The Road Again"!! (And to see all my volksmarching friends!😍😍) My final trip for 2021 is in September to the Mid-America States, including several Capital Walks.  I still have a few seats available on that trip.

So looking into the future and 2022 ....... I will be working on trips that were cancelled in 2020 and 2021.  So far I have the following:

1. April to Nevada, Utah and Arizona:  Since this trip was cancelled twice, I will be reverting to the 1st listing of people. With this trip being very popular, I am sure that I will be running this tour a couple of years in succession. (Death Valley National Park, Red Rock State Park and Valley of Fire State Park (Outside of Las Vegas) Zion and Bryce National Park, Horseshoe Bend State Park and Grand Canyon National Park.  (Beauty in Western USA!)

2. June to the Northwest Conference in Oregon:  Exploring the many great sights of Oregon to include Crater National Park!

I am sure that I will be including a couple more trips for 2022 so please stay-tuned!

Merry Christmas!

                     MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM TATER TOURS!

This has been a very trying year for everyone, including Tater Tours! With turning the page on 2020, let's all hope and pray that 2021 will be a much better and prosperous year! I can't wait to get back on the bus with all my Tater friends and TOTS!  There is still a lot of  uncertainty out there but I am thinking positive and hoping that Tater Tours will be able to start-up tours in the very near future.  My 1st tour is scheduled for April 6th to Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.  I now have a limitation of people on the bus so that we can practice some social distancing.  But who knows by April what will be happening, so stay-tuned!  I have not added any more trips for 2021 as of yet, but hope to do so starting in late January. My trip to the Northwest Conference in May has been cancelled and have yet to see whether the AVA Convention trip to Wisconsin in June will be a "GO".  Then the only other trip that I had planned was the Mid-America trip in September.  I would certainly like to plan and organize more Tater Tours for 2021, so time will tell!!  Hope everyone is staying health and safe!  Would love to see you all next year!

Mid-America Cancellation

                     CANCELLATION OF MID-AMERICA TATER TOUR TRIP IN SEPTEMBER

To all my friends and TOTS,

The time has come to cancel the last Tater Tour trip for 2021, the great Mid-America trip!  Once again, due to the continued  COVID-19 virus and with no vaccine in sight, Tater Tours will be looking forward to seeing all the Tater Tots next year!!!  Like the previous 2 cancellations of trips, I will be moving the Mid-America trip to September 2021.  Dates unknown at this time and the same itinerary will be used.  I will be working on all my trips in a few months and details will be sent out to those that have signed up for the 3 cancellation trips plus the 2 added ones, AVA Convention and Trip for my Canadian friends to Nevada, Utah & Arizona. The following outline is for 2021:

1.     Nevada, Utah, & Arizona for April

2.    Northwest Conference in Oregon for May

3.    AVA Convention in Wisconsin for June

4.    Mid-America in September

5.    Another Nevada, Utah, & Arizona trip in October for my Canadian friends!

These trips are all "Sold Out" but some of the Waiting Lists are short, so don't hesitate to email me and get on that LIST!

Cancellation of NW Conference trip

     CANCELLATION OF TATER TOURS NORTHWEST CONFERENCE TRIP IN JUNE

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 virus and the uncertainties that this ugly virus is doing to everyone's life and travels, I am sorry to inform my TATER TOTS that I am cancelling the Northwest Conference & More trip that was scheduled for June 22nd - July 1st.  Consulting with the Regional Director and the Planning Committee it was decided that the Conference will now be held May 20th - 23rd, 2021.  I will be working on the specific dates for my trip and do not anticipate and changes to the trip. (The only change that I see in my schedule is the actual walk in Crater Lake National Park, but am still wanting to visit!!  It's been on my Bucket List!)

I will be announcing my 2021 Tours sometime in August!  With 2 of my Tours cancelled (Nevada, Utah & Arizona and Northwest Conference for this year, I am just rolling them over to 2021.  Then we have the AVA Convention in June but unfortunately that trip is sold out already!  I look forward to seeing everyone on the Trail soon!

As of now, I am moving forward with my Mid-America Tour in September!

Update with COVID-19 Virus

                            CANCELLATION OF THE NEVADA, UTAH & ARIZONA TOUR

Greetings,

I wanted to let all my faithful Tater Tots and also my new customers know that I cancelled my above trip on March 16th, 2020.  We all are going through some "trying times" with this ugly virus but we will make it through this in time!  I hope that everyone is practicing the new guidelines that have been instituted by the CDC.  Some of these practices would be good if we even continued them after this is all behind us!  So I have been busy cancelling hotels and bus transportation for the trip and all are very understanding.  Refund checks were sent out on March 23, 2020 to those TOTS requested refunds and for the others, the amount was transferred to the April 2021 Tour.  (I will be running the same tour, with possible minor changes.) EVERYONE THAT WAS ON THIS TRIP FOR 2020 IS AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED ON THE 2021 TOUR! You will be contacted by the Head Tater at a later date of when the actual 2021 Tour will be.  (Possibly April 6th - 17th, 2021)

For all the TOTS that were on the waiting list for 2020, I am possibly thinking of running the same tour in 2022!  Stay-tuned!

Update on my next tour, the Northwest Conference in Oregon for June 22nd - July 1st.  Plans are still progressing with this trip.  I have been in contact with the Regional Director and Conference Committee. Decisions will be made towards the end of April.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR

At this time, the Head Tater and Reesa would like to wish all our walking friends and family a very Merry Christmas! This picture was taken on our recent Hawaii trip (luau).  What a great adventure!  It has been another great year for Tater Tours!  It always amazes me the dedication that all the TOTS have for my trips.  I appreciate the continued support of my tours!  Retirement was "slightly" thought of but it seems to me, while I plan on slowing down with the number of trips, the TOTS wanted me to continue.  With all but one trip completely "Sold Out" for 2020, why would I not want to continue?  So from the bottom of my heart, "Thank You ALL"!!

So here's hoping that 2020 is a prosperous year for all and that the great sport of Volksmarching continues on in all of our lives!

Update for 2020 Tater Tours


Getting excited on the plans for 2020 with 4 trips by the Head Tater with 2 of the trips already displayed on the blogspot!  Again, I do not want to discourage people for signing up for trips that are "Sold Out".  Things happen and people have to cancel …..


1.  It was very exciting to hear that San Antonio was able to secure their IML status.  So with that in mind, the trip is now "Sold Out" but with a very short waiting list


2.  The Nevada, Utah & Arizona trip is also "Sold Out" with a long waiting list.  Will the Head Tater do for 2021?  Stay-tuned ……


3.  Awaiting for information on the Northwest Conference Committee to go forward on the brochure for June 2020. Very excited to go forward with the planning of this trip.  I only have 8 seats left!


4.  Mid-America in September of 2020 will be very exciting too.  With this trip being the last one for 2020, it will probably be at least August before a brochure is available.  Unfortunately, the trip is filled with a waiting list.


So hear it is, the "Latest & Greatest" for Tater Tours!  Hope to see lots of walkers at the AVA Convention that is just around the corner.
